Live Spot Prawns

Live from the Sea to Market
Canada's trap caught wild westcoast spot prawns are harvested withfishing practices that are sustainableand ecologically responsible.
Wild cold water prawns are spotshrimp the largest of the shrimp species, though better known as prawns.
Prawns are graded for legal sizes the moment they come aboard. Within minutes are placed into holding cages that are submerged into a tote where an RSW system sprays them continually with a fine mist of fresh sea water. Monitored constantly for temperature and salt salinity. This is to ensure a prawn of highest quality for the sashimi marketplace.
Daily the prawns in their cages are transferred quickly to Live-tanked trucks using similar RSW techniques in keeping prawns alive until their marketplace destination.
With no additives or preservatives, these cold water prawns are as wild as a caught prawn can be and are sure to ensure an elite sumptuous product.
